History I started working in a center-based program in 2000 and stayed for two years. While there, I struggled between wanting to help provide for my family and wanting to rear my own school aged and infant children. In 2007, I became licensed and opened my home to offer parents, who didn’t have the opportunity to make the choice I did to be able to leave their children a safe and loving environment. At my home away from home, you don’t have to worry about their safety while you are at work or furthering your education.
Philosophy
Our Philosophy at Betty’s Family Child care, we truly believe in the saying, “It takes a village to raise a child”. We work together with parents to empower your child with the tools they need to keep growing and developing cognitively and physically. These include self-awareness and identity, emotional development, social play, prosocial behavior, large and fine motor development, cognitive development, emergent language, pre-writing and reading skills, art skills and imagination. We believe that a well-rounded curriculum promotes the drive to attain more knowledge about the world around them. Therefore, perpetually pushing them forward to more knowledge expansion.
Mission
Betty’s Family Child Care continually aspires to be a cut above the other family childcare services within the local area. I provide a safe, nurturing, and high-quality early education and care environment to a diversified array of children from ages 0 months to 5 years. My goal is to help children reach their full potential and help give their families the support they need to help their children become successful learners far into the future.
